NATIONAL INFERTILITY AWARENESS WEEK

Infertility affects about 1 in 8 people, 7.3 million people in the U.S. alone.  That number is 12% of childbearing aged women; however, infertility affects both men and women. 

If you are unable to become pregnant after a year of unprotected sex (or 6 months for women over 35), an evaluation is appropriate.  Depending on each couple's individual situation, certain blood tests may be recommended as part of an infertility assessment.

​ Blood tests that might be ordered include day 3 Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Estradiol (E2), AMH, Prolactin, Testosterone Total, Progesterone, Thyroxin (T4) and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH).
