Do you love music! This beautiful rendition transcends culture, engages the mind and unlocks the heart! It seems like yesterday Ken & I fell in love in Georgetown, dreaming dreams over music & listening to our favorite singer Tracy Chapman. Her music filled our home over the years and eventually I'd here one of the kids playing her music on guitar! A "parent" favorite but more importantly was the message our kids grew up hearing and believing to never give up on the dreams God puts in our hearts as He brings everything to pass.
Music reminds us how sacred life is and the critical sanctity of ethnicity. Two timeless cultural icons move in our hearts like only an Italian operatic tenor and an urban folk singer without fragility of a genre could! Chapman’s music directly addresses homelessness, racism and unrequited love! Another heavenly and sacred musical instrument is also getting ready to sound as the Moadim (Appointed Time) is quickly approaching, known as Yom Teruah aka the Feast of Trumpets! At the sighting of the New Moon in the 7th month from Israel is the start of Yom Teruah. This day is an alarm to remind you to repent. One day soon it will be too late for you to repent. NOW is the time! As the scriptures tell us in Jer. 8:7 even the turtles know the times and the seasons! The lights in the sky enable His people to know His Feast, His Appointed time! Just like your favorite songs from your favorite artists that you play over & over throughout your life, so goes the moadim (The Appointed Time) which means “an event to repeat again," repeat again and again and gather yourselves together!
