The momentum is swinging in our direction. CVS just announced that it’s removing three harmful classes of chemicals from its store brand beauty and personal care products. Johnson & Johnson has already removed formaldehyde from its children’s products. Target recently announced it will phase out harmful chemicals including parabens and formaldehyde. And Unilever announced it will disclose the previously hidden chemicals used in its “fragrances.”
It’s because of your voice that we have gotten numerous commitments in the past year from giant corporations. That’s amazing, and the tide is turning. 

L’Oréal ads tell us to buy the company’s products “because you’re worth it” but some of its products contain toxic chemicals.  Compared to companies like Target and Unilever, which have each made important public commitments on toxic chemicals, L’Oréal is lagging behind.
Our partners at the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics found chemicals linked to cancer in L’Oréal products including formaldehyde, Benzophenone-1, and titanium dioxide.
These harmful chemicals were found in a range of L’Oréal products, from kids’ shampoo to eye shadow.
