No one likes receiving a cancer diagnosis but one thing I can say as a healthcare provider is that cancer prevention strategies need to be implemented into your life daily. The research is clear that Sulforaphanes are cancer protective and the sulforaphanes are found in very high amounts in cruciferous vegetables and sprout seeds. Cruciferous vegetables have high concentrations of sulforaphanes which will help reduce and stop the effects of environmental carcinogens. One product I really like and strongly suggest people consume to have cancer protection is BroccoProtect. One of the reasons I recommend BroccoProtect is because you would have to eat 500 grams of fresh broccoli or 100 grams of sprouts to acquire the same level of protection of sulforaphane that you can get from one capsule of BroccoProtect. This is cancer prevention nutrition that you can easily add to your cancer protocol protection plan! The American Association for Cancer Research said at their Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, last week that researchers from the University of Pittsburgh Institute along with the Cancer Center announced that broccoli sprout extract helps against oral cancer in mice. Human trials will soon be starting later this year in people who are high risk for head and neck cancer, like survivors of head and neck cancer, who are a very vulnerable population because of the frequently fatal risk of a second occurrence. . The miracle nutrients inside of the broccoli sprouts is called sulforaphanes which is very health-promoting. Cruciferous vegetables have high concentrations of sulforaphanes which help reduce and stop the effects of environmental carcinogens. The intelligence in plants especially the sulforaphanes are able to target several biological pathways in our cells that make our cells deal with carcinogens better and they also increase special enzymes present in all cells that turn on our natural cellular defenses. Much of our cells ability to defend against cancer is due to sulforaphane's ability to produce antioxidants that will quench harmful free radicals and cause our detoxification enzymes to break down toxins much better! For example, the researchers gave sulforaphane to the mice who were predisposed to oral cancer and the result was a significant reduction in the incidence of the cancer as well as in the amount of tumors that formed! Then the researchers took 10 healthy volunteers and treated them with a sulforaphane rich broccoli sprout extract and were able to see that a "protective" change was detected in the lining of their mouths. |
