I liked this study that was published in the British Journal of Nutrition that reported eating nuts like almonds, walnuts, and pecans can have very beneficial effects on your cholesterol especially the LDL in just 2 weeks. So eat your organic unprocessed nuts folks and do something great for your arteries and heart! Valentines Day might be over but the LOVE still goes on. Whip up these RAW Fudge Brownies for the people you love and spread the joy of health! Brownie
1 cup almonds flour ( this is soaked and dried organic almonds ground up to a fine powder in a food processor) 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans or brazilian nuts 1 cup pitted medjool dates 1/3 cup cacao powder or carob powder 3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract or vanilla powder (more to taste!) 1/8 teaspoon himalayan salt 1/2 - 1 teaspoon water, or as needed Add the dates, walnuts, salt, and cacao to the almond flour and process everything well. Add the vanilla and small amounts of water until it starts to form a cake like consistency. Add more water only if needed. It should hold together in your hand and be very easy to press into a pan. Evenly press the moist brownie dough into the pan, frost with Icing and put in the fridge for a few hours and enjoy! Healthy Chocolate Fudge Icing 1/2 cup melted coconut butter 6 tablespoons melted coconut oil 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons coconut nectar 1/4 cup cacao powder 7 tablespoons hot water 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Pinch of salt Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy in a high speed blender.
