After a long day at the medical office, a hard gym work-out and then home for dinner and a house full of 6 kids I decided that dinner tonight for me was going to be a cold glass of Beet Juice!
Recipe 3 Organic Beets 1 Organic Lemon 1 Apple 1 Orange A few mint leaves from my garden Juice all and relax and enjoy! Beets Beets have this really cool chemical called nitrates which gets converted into nitric oxide in your body that then goes onto dilate your blood vessels and improve your blood flow to your brain and organs which will then decrease your blood pressure! Beets are wonderful for protecting against inflammation that causes harm to cells trying to get oxygen and nutrients. Beets have a compound called "Betaine" that protects the cells and fights inflammation. The beautiful beet color is from the thousands of plant cells that are full of God's secret formula called "phytonutrients" that are anti-cancer! If they could bottle "phytonutrients" it would be given in hospitals all over the country instead of chemotherapy. You can juice at home and make your own medicine! After, a hard day and workout your body really needs the minerals in beets such as the B vitamins, manganese, potassium and vitamin C. Drinking Beet Juice at night will help your body relax and get ready for deep sleep! Lemon I love the fact that lemons have liminoids which are compounds that protect cells from damage that could possible turn into cancer. You can never get enough Vitamin C so keep drinking and eating those lemons which are full of natural Vitamin C and a host of other antioxidants that will make sure your body has immune system protection. Apples Researchers have prized apples as one of our most prized food for medicine! They are full of compounds called polyphenols that are critical to health and the healing of any disease. One of the many flavonols, Chlorogenic acid is famous for decreasing lipid peroxidation which will then lower your risk of heart problems as well as also decrease body wide inflammation. Apples are just a fantastic food to eat with their hundreds of benefits! Oranges You all have heard about Vitamin C in oranges but do you really know what a miracle it really is? This water soluble antioxidant binds up free radicals and will prevent damage inside and outside of the cells. Just think about it, if you have free radical damage inside your cells where your cell nucleus is located that houses your DNA you could end up with a cancer or neurological damage or some other equally devastating disease. DNA mutations are never a good thing ( hence the reason evolution is false, but that is my husbands expertise!) I love vitamin C for skin health because it builds collagen and will assist with cell turnover. Vitamin C is an excellent vehicle to remove heavy metals out of your body too!
