Many of you are always asking me ways to increase nutrition without spending alot of money on supplements. I know many of you do not like to swallow pills! Neither do I and that is why I am a huge fan of spouting! Try to sprout one cup of mung bean sprouts in your kitchen. All you do is soak them over night and drain the water in the morning. Give them a rinse once or twice a day and in 1-2 days you will see a beautiful plant start to GROW!
Mung Bean sprouts are loaded with vitamin K. Remember that the bacteria in your colon has a job to do and that is to make Vitamin K but sometimes you just don't make enough to meet your bodies needs. Vitamin K is essential for the process of blood clotting. It is also designed by G-d to regulate mineralization and also protect bones. Did you know you have an enzyme in your body that works with vitamin K to stop the build-up of calcium deposits in your arteries and blood vessels! This WILL lower your risk for heart attacks and strokes.
Now sprouts do so much more but I want you to start memorizing one nutrient at a time. The next time I ask you at your medical appointments where can you get natural estrogen or vitamin K you will now know! My favorite fact about mung bean sprouts is that they increase oxygen in the blood which will kill bacteria. So you could say they are a natural antibiotic with no side effects such as all your good bacteria which produce (vitamin K) being wiped out from the use of frequent antibiotics. Also, ladies mung beans have natural estrogen with NO side effects which keep you in balance and also keeps your bones strong.
I don't strive to balance motherhood & career life. I integrate it!
